At SGIA 07 in Orlando, FL the Gerber Solara UV2 printed beautifully on EnCore MightyCore FoamBoard. Using UV curable inks, the image quality was superior and the whiteness of the substrate made the colors pop. MightyCore fed well through the printer and the lay flatness was identical before and after printing. The substrate cut easily using a wall cutter and the Gerber M-1200 was also able to route the printed image.

Our VBS theme was "Crocodile Dock". The set was to look like a fishing cabin in the swamp. Foam board was used to make the fishing cabin, the cross and posters throughout the room. The fishing cabin was made from 3/16" White Foam board 48 x 96, the cabin's paper siding was stapled to the boards, allowing the boards and paper siding to be used again in the future. The Foam board use for the door of the cabin was painted Black. The cross was cut from 3/16" Black-on-Black Foam board 40 x 60. The posters were laminated to 3/16" Black-on-Black Foam board 40 x 60. It was very easy to make the set from the Foam board.

EnCore Foam board was the ultimate for creating props for our Bible School. Our theme was "Crocodile Dock". We traced pictures of crocodiles on the foam board then cut them out and painted them. They looked very realistic from a distance. We also made a "croc" stand featuring a bible verse using the foam board. To make things even more interesting for the kids, we also used 3 sheets of 4 X 8 foam board, drew a beautiful scene on them that depicted our theme, and painted it. We also used the foam board to make a house front, complete with a roof and also a "theme" header cut from the foam board. All the kids and adults as well, had a great time at our Bible School. We enjoy using the foam board year after year as it really helps express the lessons that we teach.
